Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) New Grad Residency August 2024

Published

Hi guys! I am creating this thread for all of us who applied to the CHOC new grad residency program for August 2024. Hoping to use this for questions, support, and updates on the process!

has anyone got an offer yet?!!

Has anyone applied to their OR residency? I haven't had any update and my application is still 'under consideration'. I'm an out of state applicant so I'm wondering if that has played a part in the silence

Just got the job offer! Got the official call in the evening today. Good luck everyone 🙂

Hello, I don't know if anyone is still on here. However, would anyone mind sharing their starting base hourly at CHOC? I am accepting a new grad residency position in pediatrics in socal and want to know if my base is considered lower comparatively ($48)

Thanks for the reply! And thank you for the congratulations 🙂 That is so interesting, would've thought different.

Can't edit on here but I meant $47 at Miller Children's in LBC.

Congratulations! What an amazing opportunity! Miller Children's is a great hospital to start at as a new grad. I believe the pay comes out to over 50 with night differential included. If you have any questions, lmk! I did my clinicals at LBMMC and Miller Children's. Did you write a tailored cover letter to the unit or make a general cover letter?

HIII, thank you so much! That's so great to hear, I am very excited!

Sorry for the delayed response - but my cover letter was definitely tailored to the unit.
