Chicago Area Students: Where did you do your first years clinicals and give feedback

Hi I am starting my first semester this upcoming January (yay) and I would like to know where you did you first clinicals and what you thought of the experience good, bad, ugly. I'd like to know what I might expect.

Where clinicals take place and what to expect will vary greatly not only from school to school but also from instructor to instructor. While it would greatly reduce your anonymity here and I wouldn't recommend it, more specific info such as the name of the school would be needed. Expectations should also be addressed partly in the student handbook and partly when you complete orientation for that clinical experience.

I just finished my LPN at ATS in Chicago and we did all nursing homes. We had Maternity and Peds at a hospital, but everything else was in a nursing home. I felt I probably could've learned more in a hospital setting though.....Good Luck on your journey!!!!!
