Alarmed at the disturbing number of nurses leaving the profession within their first few years in practice, Cherokee Uniforms provided a grant to Emmy Award-winning director David Hoffman to produce a film for nurses and nursing students that would encourage, inspire and instruct.
For Employers
A Nurse I Am honors excellent nurses, celebrates the art and science of nursing, and salutes those whose intellect, critical thinking and compassion facilitate healing.
This filmis a resource to help maintain and rekindle the enthusiasm and excitement that motivated your nurses to become nurses. It is a perfect film to show new graduate nurses, those who work with them, and experienced nurses.
Cherokee’s wish is for every nurse-in-training, every nursing student and every nurse to view the Educational Version of A Nurse I Am.
To make this as easy as possible, Cherokee sent the Educational Version of the film and the A Nurse I Am Discussion Guide to the heads of the nation’s schools of nursing and to the highest-ranking administrative official in thousands of hospitals and other healthcare employers throughout the U.S.
