I will be taking the TEAS in January in order to apply for my program in March. My advisor suggested taking it the first time in January in case I am not happy with my score and I want to take it again. At my school you can take it twice with a mininum of 30 days between each test. So if I need to retest I will in February before applying in March.
I got the study guide and practice tests. Took my first practice test last week and noticed a lot of chemistry on the science portion. I did well on all other sections except science. Chemistry is not required at my school. I chose to take advanced physiology instead of chemistry. I thought the physiology was more important than the chem but maybe I was wrong.
I just downloaded Chemisty Essentials for Dummies on my ipad to read. Do think it will be helpful? Are there any websites I could go to brush up on this? I took chem in high school but that was 20 years ago and I only remember the basics.

Your really need brush on your chemistry skills,as there is a lot of chemistry questions.Know the periodic table and know how to use it.Balancing chemical equations, converting moles to molecules, etc ,Avogadro's Law will also be on there. These are some things that I have seen on both the exam and practice exam

Chemistry for dummy's worked well for me. I had been out of high school for ten years so my first teas I bombed the science portion. The next time around I had used the chemistry for dummy's and the ati study guide and it worked well for me. Good luck

I took the TEAS V and there wasn't a lot of chem on the version I took....just the basic laws like boyles law and all stuff you could get from a high school class. I scored 100% on the science portion of the exam. If you use the ATI prep book you will be totally prepared for it.
