Hi everybody,
I was looking over my prerequisites and it looks like I have to take Chemistry over again because its been over 10 years. And I wondering has anyone taken Chemistry and A&P II together? Do you think those subjects are to hard to take together? I think A&P II may have a lab component too. I want to take both in the Winter 16 because I can apply for nursing program in Spring 16 if I get both of these classes done by then. I would take A&P I in the Fall by itself. If I don't take Chemistry with A&P II I will have to wait until 2017 to apply for nursing program. Go figure....
I definitely did not notice that it's a winter session! My school just does summer, fall, and spring sessions so I'm not too familiar with how long it will take. I do know this summer in my 8 week physiology class, my teacher did not recommend taking any other class, particularly a science class.

Taking them together would be fine, but taking them both in an uber condensed winter session might be too much. How long is your winter session? At my school it's about three weeks, so you're looking at 4-6 hours of class time per class 4-5 days per week with 2-3 exams per week per class. It seems like it's not conducive to learning and you'll need a solid base in at least physiology for nursing.
It seems like most commenters didn't see that you're considering both of these for a winter session between fall and spring... Is taking both even an option due to the schedule conflicts you'll probably have between the two lectures and lab? Does your school require a recitation course for chem?
I'd speak to an academic advisor at your school to see if these can even be done.
My two cents is to wait until the spring to take them instead of cramming them into a winter session. Jamming that much material into such a short time could jeopardize your GPA and both of those classes carry a lot of weight (4 credits each, my chemistry was 4.5) and they dictate your acceptance into a program. If you get Cs in both, you might be waiting a lot longer than 2017 to start.
