Chemical Dependency Evaluation

Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi everyone,

I am a nurse in California and I am getting ready to schedule my chemical dependency evaluation. I have read horror stories on this forum about how you need to be careful about what you say to these people. I know they will probably collect hair, urine, and blood which I'm not worried about. I am trying to figure out how honest I need to be and if I could leave some stuff out that would be great. I am not trying to hide anything, I have been sober since March of 2022. My DUI was in late 2021.  I go to AA meetings twice a week and have a sponsor. I'm just thinking the less the better with these evaluators. My question is when you guys got yours done did they ask for medical records? What kinds of questions did they ask? Thank you so much. This forum has been so helpful!

Wondering if you could give some insight on your evaluator session?
thanks!
