Hi I am taking Chem 100 starting winter quarter as a hybrid class for a prereq for microbiology at Columbus State. Just wondering if anyone has taken it? What was it like? How was the work load? How were the labs and exams? it has been a long time ago since my high school chem class and i didn't really like high school chemistry.
Thanks

It is not to bad. Just stay up on the material and you should do fine. I did not like high school chemistry as well but did very well in chem 100. My professor was Dr. Hage.

I took the hybrid class a few years ago and thought it wasn't too bad. I had Dr. Lord for the online portion and Dr. Wolfe as my lab instructor. Both were very helpful and informative. I ended up having them for Chem 113 as well.
Good luck!

kizetti,
Chem 100 is okay, I didn't like Chemistry in highschool either (also a long time ago for me) but as long as you study regularly --for me an hour every night-- you should be just fine. Remember to reach out to your instructor if you begin to get lost, also I found some great chem websites online. Best of luck to you!

I had Chummney as my instructor - she was great!! I couldn't take this type of course online. Karrat is another GREAT instructor for the class!!

I had Mr. Abraha. He was pretty funny and made chemistry as fun as it could possibly be I guess...it's not a hard class to get an A in though.
