Hi guys. There is a classmate in my class who is cheating by using tests banks. She told me herself. THE Funny thing is how she told me that she wont give it to me because she does not "trust" me. I went to her because I wanted to know how she studies to get good grades too and that's what she told me... It sounded like she was mad at me.. I dont know!! Why would she tell me something like that, What should I do? I dont think is fair to cheat, but i don't want to have to do anything with this... But she TOLD ME!! Help?

I think people need to read what the incentive spirometer is actually supposed to do.

If you know the function that it is supposed to help expand the volume of the lungs you should know the intervention.

when you want to inflate a baloon are you going to put air into it or outside of it?

That is a nursing question. You need to teach the patient how to use an incentive spirometer. If you cannot teach them you already failed an intervention in the prevention of Hospital acquired pneumonia

I am appalled at some of these responses; "stay out of it," "leave it alone." I hope that none of you take care of my loved ones in the future. I want nurses caring for my loved ones who have integrity AND stand up for what is right. You, as nursing students or as professional nurses have an OBLIGATION to speak up- to protect your future patients and the community as a whole. Is that cheating student one you'd want to take care of you? Of course not!

Someone with poor ethical standards could pass NCLEX. It happens all of the time. There is no room in nursing for people without integrity, honesty, and accountability. This cheating student should be reported and dismissed from the program if possible. Shame on all of you who's advice was to mind your own business!

Unless you have concrete evidence of someone cheating, it's not wise to accuse another person of it. you are putting that person's future, livelihood, etc., on the line. Do you really want that kind of blood on your hands? What if someone else did that to you? Cheaters eventually will get caught - on their own.
