Cheap books online? Textbook website suggestions??

I am relatively new here and this is my first thread!I am starting nursing program in January 2010.I am international student so I don't have much money:twocents:.I would appreciate any help from you if you know some web sites where I can find cheaper books!Also,if you are form Pittsburgh maybe I can use some bookstores where they sell used books!Thank you very much and Happy holidays!!!!:redpinkhe

Hello! Did you mean to say you are starting in Jan. 2009? Are you going to Boyce Campus? If so, I might be in your class! I just bought my NRN101 books today and they came to $625 including the tote. Make sure that if your are trying to buy used you get the correct edition... I can make a list of exactly what is in the package if you need me to. Do you have orientation tonight?

amazon.com has great prices on new and used books. got some great deals on books there. used books are especially great.

I've used Barnes and Noble online (www.bn.com) and have never had a problem with them. Good prices, free shipping, and if I have to return a textbook I can take it to any local B&N store. If you plan to order a lot of books (school or non-school), or go to B&N stores a lot, spring the $25 for the membership--you get a discount on purchases and you can usually make that back in savings within 1-2 textbook orders. Otherwise find a classmate who does have a B&N card and use theirs :)

Just be sure to get the ISBN number of the textbook you need from the school--use that to look up and order your textbook so you know you're getting the exact one you need.

Hey I am in the same program as you and am freeaking out about the book prices. My husband just got laid off so money is tight and I am trying to buy my books online but CCAC doesn't give any information about what books are in the package. Would you be able to give me any info as to whats in the package like an isbn# and description of the books?
