HEY everyone! just received my acceptance letter to Chattanooga State for LPN program starting in Fall 2009. Anyone else starting then and just received letter? Thanks

I am planning to apply for January 2010. I am anxious to hear others' experience with Chatt State so please keep me updated when you start. There is another girl on here that is currently attending and she is very nice and had a lot of helpful info. Good luck!

CONGRATS ON BEING ACCEPTED! :yeah: Guess we will see each other in class! im so excited but nervous... guess we are in for quite a ride from the sound of it. Glad i finally found someone else that was in for fall.

Congrats to you too! Do you plan to go on to RN, I am taking Micro at night this summer to finish up prereq's.

Thanks! I eventually plan to go on for my RN. that's my ultimate goal. Ive still got about 4 pre req's to finish though. Thought about trying to do the RODP Nursing after a little while as a LPN. Not really sure which way to go yet. I don't think im gonna take any classes this summer. Im just finishing up Nutrition right now, and i so need a break before we start in August!

I wanted to take a break but after talking to an RN instructor, she advised me to go ahead and take it this summer because I want to transition and it will be the only semester plus the Fall of 10 to complete my 2 classes.

Are you going to the orientation on June 3rd?

I don't blame you, if you are that close to getting those classes out of the way. I would too. yep. just sent in my paper confirming the other day, so I plan on attending the orientation. Im curious about what all they will tell us then.

Me too! :D It's supposed to last an hour so whatever they can cram into that I suppose. I'm sure that there will be plenty of questions asked afterwards..I'm curious about the uniform requirement and how out that will play out.

yea i know. i just wonder when we will start wearing the scrubs and all that. Hope its early on because its alot easier for me to get up that early if i know i dont have to pick out something to wear. lol..

AMEN! It would make things a lot easier. I've already had a nightmare about class, lol. A friend of mine that graduated from the program last year said on clinical days its 6am - 12pm. I'm really not looking forward to that.
