I hear there is a hospital-wide change to Epic charting...they are hiring travellers to fill in while the staff in in training. Anyone know what charting system they use now? More specifically in the Family Birth Center?

We just switched to Epic. We still have OB Trace Vue too, but chart in Epic Stork. They don't interphase, so I don't like it...

our hospital uses epic hospital-wide but in L&D, we still chart in QS. there are a few things that we do on epic, and we hate them all... lol, we do care plans, pt education, input orders, etc in epic.

hmmm... I am similar to the above. Our whole hospital uses EPIC for all charting. We use QS for all bedside charting specifically b/c EPIC doesn't interface with the fetal monitor. We enter orders, do all med charting, do all OR/RR charting, doctors do all notes, all labs, etc in EPIC.
EPIC isn't too bad, once you get used to it. i LOVE QS though. Love it. I'll be sad when we have to get rid of it

Mills-Peninsula went live with EPIC in April of 2009.
I'm curious, for the RNs who use EPIC- do you chart labor and delivery in EPIC Stork, in QS, in something else that is custom to OB, or are you using generic EPIC with L&D workflows built on the med-surg content?
