Charity School of Nursing Spring 2018

Published

Hi all! I am applying to CSN in Aug. for the Spring 2018 class. I just wanted to start a post to help answer questions and compare profile scores:) Does anyone know what the last application cut off was?

Hello, anyone have any experience or know anyone that has challenged the LPN course? I am applying in Jan. 2018. I have 100 points on the point scale. I am a LPN and was going for the transition course but I see I can challenge the Summer transition course. Can someone give me some info on this. The website doesn't list enough. Thanks

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any idea how the registration for actual classes works for level I? Is it the same as for general education courses, because when I go in to register it tells me all courses are closed. I am a little anxious because I was accepted late and so I am not sure if that is affecting anything.

We all register at the same time. It's usulaly in December. They will put a list of all classes/locations on the website, but it's not up yet.

I was under the impression that they were going to tell us about registering for classes during the new student orientation in January. I'm not positive about this, and I havent seen it in writing anywhere, that's just what I thought.

They should go over it in the advising session that we had to make an appointment for. We'll have our classes schedule already by Jan:)

Has anyone gone to their advising meeting yet? Does anyone know when will we know how much uniforms and other items needed for clinical will cost?

They'll give you all that info in your advising session

I hope someone can help me.

My husband just got stationed in Louisiana and I am going to apply for Delgado's nursing program. I just took my HESI A2 and scored an 86.67%, I have received my official transcript and would like to contact a counselor to see if I have all the requirements needed to apply for the program. I currently located closer to West Bank. Does anyone have a counselor they would recommend from that specific college? I am new to this area so I don't really know who to contact.

Also, for the section where you are required to write a paragraph. Is it really a paragraph or is it better to write an essay?

You can contact

The counselor on the Westbank campus is Alfreda Bell. Good luck! Oh and it doesn't have to be a long essay or paragraph. Ms. Thornton stated this in one of the sessions, that the paragraph could be short and does not determine wether you get accepted or not!

I will def email her. Thank you so much.

I have a question. Is the program at the Delgado Charity campus?
