changing license from one state to other

Hello friends,

i wrote nclex in new mexico boared of nursing where they didn't require cgfns for appearing nclex.i would like to change my license from newmexico to florida or texas where they require cgfns to appear for the nclex.my question is in order to change my license to other state do i have to appear for cgfns to get a credential evaluation certificate ?

As long as you already have a license in the US, you only need to endorse to get another license (for almost all states, excect Illinois which requires two yrs expereince in the US or the actual CGFNS exam) CGFNS is only for initial licensure for most states. You will not be changing your license but only getting additional licenses. There are travel nurses that actually hold about 25 licenses...................

Just look at what it says for endorsing a license, not for initial licensure.

thank you very much.actually since i couldn't find any sponsoring hospitals i proceed my case to some of the agents.most of them won't accept me because of less experience(8 month) and the given information on this thread given by one agency.i was like................:uhoh3: .thank you so much.
