Just an FYI for all of you that are partnered with THR hoping to get into the Academic Partnership program. The APBSN is in transition and they are going back to accepting only non-THR employee's with Bachelor or higher degrees.I have received a lot of conflicting information and information is still posted on the THR intranet.
I was told by the head of Education Development at THR that this transit would not effect the people who have already applied but who possible effect the people applying int he future.
i just want to make sure I understand; the AP program at THR will be only for students who already have a degree and are not employed with THR? I wonder if they will implement any of that for the fall.
As the largest network in the metroplex this is a stupid decision! Do you know how many techs and clear are now looking for new schools??? Ridiculous! No other school offers an online format for non degrees students. We are screwed.
Baylor, Cooks, JPS, I also think I have seen some mention Parkland. I believe there are more but these I know.
I went to double check my employment because I used to work for THR but switched to Cooks about 7 months ago. Here is some information I got because the advisor thought I still worked for THR before we got it cleared up.
Please be aware that THR has made changes in their employee eligibility requirements.
If you have any questions regarding the changes, please feel welcome to email [email protected].
You will be kept in the Fall 2013 AP BSN program applicant pool. However, you will be considered “un-partnered” and considered for slots at other clinical sites. If you are accepted to the program to complete clinicals at another site, it will be up to you as to whether or not you want to accept the offer.
Unfortunately, I do not have any further information regarding this issue, but please feel welcome to email me if you have any questions regarding other issues.
