Good evening. Everyone I am trying to get into an ADN the nursing program At Temple; my GPA is 3.0 without taking my HESI A2. In my science classes, I have a B, but my composition is a C. Other courses are A and Bs. Should I apply and see what happens? Or wait until I retake Comp? The Minimum GPA is 2.8, but I know it is very competitive. I am not very good at school. I study a lot but can never get all As. Any advice would be great.

I know you posted this several months ago, did you take your HESI yet?

You need at least 10 points to be competitive for the ADN program. Some get in with 9 depending on the cohort. Spring tends to be less competitive than fall entry. May I suggest the LVN program? That will get you into nursing faster and you can bridge later. But in order to bridge you will need to pull that GPA up. So either way you have work to do. Of course we don't know your HESI score and that makes a huge difference too. That keeps some people with higher GPAs out of nursing school because they can't score high enough on the HESI. Good Luck ?
