Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!

similar stats! Do you have healthcare experience though? I have about ~700 hours from high school internship (ROP) & 2.5 years working at a hospital.

Holy moly that's awesome! I was a caregiver for dementia elderlies for a while.

That is awesome! I am sure you both will get in! I feel more discouraged right now because I haven't had as much healthcare experience or work as you both haha

I have a 3.5! They told me yesterday that they're doing the HESI again, at least in sac.

Is this for January 2021 start though? I was told when I applied I would not have to take it until later on as a progression req. once I was accepted. From Chamberlain's website, "During this unprecedented time, we decided it was in the best interest of our applicants to not require the entrance examination for admission committee review. Applicant files will be reviewed by our Admission Committee based on academic history and cumulative grade point average. This applies to any applicant who has not yet taken their HESI A2 as of March 16, 2020 and any new applicants who apply prior to July 29, 2020 for the September 2020 and January 2021 session starts." After that you would be required to take it, but yes they will soon have the option to proctor the HESI virtually.

They asked if I wanted to take it! They said they start administering on the 29th. And yes I included it in my passion and purpose statement

Ask if you can take the HESI to help improve your file!

oh okay, that's why you're being allowed to take the HESI because your file hasn't gone to the committee yet. mine already got reviewed so I can't do much but just pray haha!
