Chamberlain University Sacramento 2020-2021

Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!

When I usually try to call my advisor it goes to voicemail too ? all we can do is wait. Have you tried emailing them?

I just got my call and didn’t get in. They said my GPA was fine (3.6), and didn’t really give any other reasons as to why I got denied. They offered to push my application to be re reviewed for the May 2021 start date, to do the HESI, and re do my essay. This is my second time applying and honestly this schools way of choosing applicants doesn’t make any sense to me. Every-time I ask them to explain the reasons as to why I was not accepted, or what the issue was, their response is “we can’t do to privacy reasons,” even tho it is my application. They seem really sketchy. Good luck everyone!

did you ask them why they chose to put your application on hold then? I've seen so many people get in with 3.4-3.5 GPA so it doesn't make sense to me either. I am very nervous

I am so anxious. I wonder what order they are calling everyone or if there's some sort of pattern

I’m so nervous too ? I’m so scared that I’ll be denied after so much waiting and so much hard work.

So I got my call and wasn’t accepted ? they said I have a good GPA but there is a limited amount of seats so I’m going to transfer my application over to Arizona. Really bummed ?

sorry to anyone who didn’t get in. But don’t give up!! There are so many people so some times it takes a couple of tries... be patient it will happen! ?

they told me the same thing too. I'm transferring mine over to chicago ?

Hi everyone, 

So yesterday afternoon they called, as stated in my previous post, and they said no. Then, last night, they send me 2 docu-signs for me to sign electronically. These were document stating that I was accepted. It had all of my personal information on them, the correct address of the school and everything. I send my advisor an email asking what's happening and I don't hear a response, until I call the following morning,only for them to send me to voicemail and then send me a 2 sentence response brushing it off as an "accident." To me this didn't seem like a mistake because it was multiple documents with all of my information. I called the corporate office and they had another counselor reach out to me and explain what happened. I am so over this school, its excuse after excuse. This is my second time applying to this school and each time I have had a big issue. I do not understand how you can send a denied student legal documents of acceptance to sign, only to tell them it was an accident and that they still aren't admitted. At this point I am so disgusted and over this school that I have lost all hope. Yes they can transfer my application to another campus, but if I am paying 5 figures for tuition alone only to pay another 5 for housing in an unfamiliar area on top of that, seems ridiculous for me to do. This experience has not only affected me but everyone else around me because being told no then yes and then no again was a manipulation of various emotions. Now looking at this schools yelp reviews it doesn't deserve 3 stars, it deserves 1. Judging from all of the applicants on this thread we all are over-qualified for this campus and I want to know who they are really accepting. What is the actual process of selecting a student??? I was never given an actual CONCRETE reason as to why I wasn't chosen, only a bunch of run around to get no where. If we had any sense we wouldn't patronize this institution.

Honestly that is utterly ridicoulous and a lot of action can be taken against them for doing that. I saw in other people's posts on here that they got in with GPAS of 3.2-3.5 so I honestly don't understand how some of us were denied. ESPECIALLY when we were put on hold earlier in July. If they didn't want us, they should've just said no then. I've heard so many situations like this regarding this school yet I tried to be optimistic but IDK anymore. This school seems very sketchy. I transferred mine to the chicago campus since that is the headquarters of all the chamberlain campuses.
