Chamberlain University Sacramento 2020-2021

Published

Has anyone applied for and/or was accepted into the Chamberlain Sacramento campus? I applied for Jan 2021 but I only have a ~3.5-3.6 GPA and a passion statement (HESI was waived due to COVID-19). What are your stats and any tips or advice? I am waiting to hear back from the admissions committee so I’m going to have my fingers and toes crossed!

I have three kiddos, for me the commute would be too hard to manage on top of keeping up with the work load.

I have a 13 y/o stepson full time, his sister lives with his grandparents outside of carsin tho. Considering commuting but if its too much if we could figure out the finances (and custody order. But he has full physical so should be fine, not like his mom shows up regularly anyway, plus hard to argue against him wanting to be near his sister which he has said for a long time) my husband is down to rent the other bedrooms in our house out and relocate out there for 2 years. The minimum wage is lower tho and the rent is similar to sac, so its be difficult to make work ? im doing their Wednesday info session to find out more.

Well that’s awesome if you can make it all work out! It’ll be so worth it to get through a program!

Did they say why? Don’t be afraid to apply again and I believe in you!

Does our files being on hold have anything to do with covid maybe?

I believe that being put on hold is our “yes.” They still have another load of applicants to look at in September, and I honestly don’t think they officially “accept” anyone from the first batch of applicants. It’s like when people are applying for a job. Even tho they know who they want they must give every person a chance to be interviewed! Also judging from the past posts, other than 1 person who scored low on the HESI and had it on their file even tho it wasn’t required, everyone who was on hold was accepted. I’m sure we got in because if they didn’t want us they would have just rejected us, CONGRATS!
