Hey everyone! I have applied to Chamberlain in St. Louis for the start date in January! I met with an adviser last week and took the HESI on Monday (got a 91.7%). I am hoping to connect with others that might be starting then as well! I am a little nervous about my application, though, because my GPA is lower than their minimum (currently 2.47) but about 3.3 if they only look at the classes that will transfer (although I know they do look at the overall cumulative so I'm freaking out!). I have healthcare experience and wrote a letter explaining the circumstances that surrounded some bad grades from 2006-2010ish (veryyy extenuating circumstances). My adviser did not seem to be bothered by my low GPA and said my test score was amazing so I hope I still have a shot! I'm thinking the fact that they are still accepting applications hopefully means something. She did also mention that (like I've seen on their website) the admissions criteria includes the 3 different ways you can be admitted (college gpa/ACT/SAT), college GPA, or A2 score and that college GPA is not the end all be all for admission.
My cumulative GPA only counting the classes that will transfer toward the degree is 3.46 so I am praying that is a positive for my application!
I would love to meet some current students or students starting soon! :) Emily
