Hello, I have viewed dozens of forums while researching Chamberlain University and there seems to be limit reviews on social media sites. The forums here are students who were accepted into the program but there are no updates to know if they were successful and enjoyed the curriculum. I am interested in their Nursing school in North Brunswick, NJ but unsure if the college provides the tools I need to become an RN or if this is a quick money grab and then I am self teaching for three years. Any recent graduates or alumni that can provide me insight? Thank you so much!

What kind of online clinical are you having?

Do you know where you would have had clinical if you had them in person? Which program are you in?
im a current student too and although I won’t start clinicals till March they have said the clinicals can be at whatever location they choose with 100 miles of the campus. They have 1 hospital in PA and none in NY. They said we can pick our days and they pick the location.
so far school is HARd and it is a lot of self paced learning but they set you up nicely. The work load is extreme so if you’re someone who needs to be walked thru things and explained things you may have a hard time. Hopefully it’ll get easier when we can actually go to class!

100 miles?!?! That could be equal to a 2 hour drive! No way!

I am currently in the day BSN program taking Adult Health II (NR325) online. If I had it in person I would be at a site located within 100 miles of campus. I am unaware of my exact site because we did not have the option to select sites this session since all or most of the clinicals are currently only being offered online.

Do you like it so far and is the curriculum set up in a way where you are learning or is it self taught? I read so many reviews about it not being enough resources to help you succeed, that the whole program is a money grab and many don't graduate.
You're welcome. The program is very good in my opinion and yes I do like it. The curriculum is set up in a manner where you are learning but you will be responsible for studying and reading over concepts on your own as well. So I would say there is a mixture of learning from your professors and self-teaching. There are many resources but not everyone takes advantage of them such as setting up 1:1 or group tutoring sessions. I would say you get a lot of work in this program and it can be vigorous at times but anyone can succeed. In my cohort, most of the students are doing very well. The program is very expensive but I do feel like I am getting a good education.

Yup everything you said regarding clinicals is true! I agree the program is rough (especially online) but just try your best to hold onto the information that you are learning now because all of your future classes builds on top of it and most professors will not reteach those concepts due to limited time. For example, in Adult Health you really need to understand A&P and Patho. If not, you will find yourself having to review those subjects while keeping up with courses like Adult Health, which can be a struggle!
