Chamberlain Houston Campus

Published

Well I got into Chamberlain BSN program at the Houston TX campus. I start September 1, 2014. I researched the school for about 4 months before applying and found a whole lot of really good information about them. I'm really impressed with our campus and all it has to offer including clinical sites, and NCLEX scores, even though it's fairly new. I can't wait to start. I realize there aren't many Houston people on here so I just wanted to start a thread and maybe one day when someone else is researching the school they can find me and this thread and I can help them possibly. Chamberlain went from being my last choice to my top choice after everything I found out about them. And I noticed that anyone who has negative things to say about Chamberlain obviously hasn't done their homework. Can't wait to start!

I have registered for Nurs 101 successfuly so far. Orientation is next tuesday.

I registered for three classes but they aren't showing up online. Have you done your drug screening yet? I'm super excited for next tuesday!

They said they would email be information about orientation as far as times and such but I still haven't received any info.

Yes, my drug screening is complete. I'm super excited also. What courses are you taking?

Really? I haven't been given any information on that. Where did you go?

I don't have them right in front of me but I think health assessment part 1, transition to nursing, and philosophy.

It was one of the first things on my check off list once I got my acceptance call. Did you pay your background/drug screen fee?

Yes! I registered for classes. Put like 500 down. I never got a checklist in my folder. They said they would contact me... I'm just going to go up there tomorrow and see what's going on. I really don't want to get behind. What classes are you taking? By any chance do you have the checklist on your computer or any other emails about it or the orientation? If so would you mind emailing them to me. I'd appreciate it! My email is [email protected]

Also, have you bought any books? I found some cheaper on ebay.

I mean amazon.

Do they take avg score of HESI overall portions or individual?

what do you have to make on HESI?

do they require the sciences to be within 5 yrs?

Hello to all and congratulations on your acceptance.

I have a few questions

Do the sciences have to be within a 5yr minimum?

what classes transferred over?

what chemistry do I need to take at HCC?

Hey apedrique, I'm about to email you what was given to me. I'm also taking Nurs 101 and Statistics my first session. I need to order the book for Nursing Transitions.
