Chamberlain Houston Campus

Published

Well I got into Chamberlain BSN program at the Houston TX campus. I start September 1, 2014. I researched the school for about 4 months before applying and found a whole lot of really good information about them. I'm really impressed with our campus and all it has to offer including clinical sites, and NCLEX scores, even though it's fairly new. I can't wait to start. I realize there aren't many Houston people on here so I just wanted to start a thread and maybe one day when someone else is researching the school they can find me and this thread and I can help them possibly. Chamberlain went from being my last choice to my top choice after everything I found out about them. And I noticed that anyone who has negative things to say about Chamberlain obviously hasn't done their homework. Can't wait to start!

They will transfer over. I go to pre-enrollment on Monday to discuss my schedule and financial aid.

Oh ok cool. I didn't want to retake those. Do you want exchange information if I get accepted we should be in the same class hopefully

You should definitely get accepted. Good luck! Are you able to send or receive messages?

I sent you a message. Let me know if you get it

I did not get one. My email is [email protected]

I took my HESI entrance exam today for the Houston location. I scored a 87. Should I retake it or is that a competitive score? For those who have been admitted, what is your score?

Thank You

Ashley

I had to comment. This thread has been an interesting read! I bet I know houstonRNhopeful:yes:

My story:

wanted to be an anesthesiologist. Had a kid at 18. My dream fizzled. Started working 40 hours a week while taking prerequisites. Didn't take my classes seriously because I was working full time. 2.25 gpa. 2.25!!

Got accepted into PV (see.. Chamberlain isn't the only school that accepts low Gpa LOOOL). Chose Chamberlain over PV because of flexibility.

2 years later. Never failed a class. Honor roll student. 3.4 nursing cumulative GPA. 1162 on exit HESI. Will be graduating in December with honors. (An A at chamberlain is a 94+.. Most of the other programs have it realllly good..)

never judge a book by its cover. Someone said "low gpa shows lack of commitment". Not always true. External factors play a part sometimes. I hope my post gives you all courage!

OH!! My classmate has a 2.8 and has a job offer at MD Anderson. Other friend has below 3.0 as well and has TWO offers at Ben Taub. guaranteed jobs before graduation. So no.. Blanket statements that hospitals in the medcenter only hire based on gpa is rubbish.

Hi! I will also be starting Chamberlains nursing program this spring. I received my acceptance letter about 3 weeks after I took my Hesi.

GPA:3.2
