I was recently accepted to the FNP program at Chamberlain. I had done research beforehand and the program presentation seemed like it would work for my life. I work with someone who is going through the Informatics path at Chamberlain and had stated how much she loved the program so far. I know the first year's classes are the same no matter the MSN program. Recently another person who is in the FNP program and just started her clinicals has stated how horrible it is for her. She also said that the program was wonderful up until the clinicals. That, currently, her class is failing the exams they are taking and the instructors have been less than helpful telling them not to study what the books are saying but what they are told in class.
I am severely disappointed at hearing this, as this is a school I wanted to go to but I wanted to hear more opinions and experiences. Are there any recent graduates or those close to graduating that are having similar or different experiences?
Thank you for any input.

My assistant manager went through chamberlain for her masters. She had a problem when it came to her clinical experience. She said the school dragged their feet on the paperwork. She had to use her pool and have a higher up at the hospital call to have the paperwork completed. All worked out in the end for her.

I attended Chamberlain for my RN-to-BSN and had no issues whatsoever. Great experience.
However, when I went back for the FNP program, it was awful. They made change after negative change. Many times, the changes would occur and even the instructors wouldn't be aware of how to resolve the issues. The final straw for me came when they switched to a data bank of questions for mid-terms and final exams. The mid-term was worth 30% of our grade. The instructors had no access to the data bank. Only 20% of the material we were given to study was on the exam. Considering the exam was mostly statistical equations, you couldn't just synthesize the answer you needed. You would have needed prior exposure to the correct mathematical formulas to solve the problems.
Needless to say, the entire class failed the exam. Not only that, so did the students in ALL the classes. When we lodged complaints with Chamberlain, we were told they would make a decision on what to do in a few weeks time. That time frame just happened to "magically" coincide with not being able to receive a refund. I felt that was very shady & underhanded. Students in the classes ahead of me were having similar problems.
I felt I wasted a significant amount of time & money at Chamberlain. I have since transferred to another school. None of the credits I earned in the MSN program at Chamberlain transferred, either. Chamberlain will accept anyone with a pulse & a promissory note.
I would DEFINITELY look into a different program!!! Run!
Caveat emptor :)

I have no idea about the program, but this is about the funniest statement that I have ever read :)
