Chamberlain Las Vegas January 2019

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hi everyone,

I recently was deemed academically eligible to start in the Spring 2019 semester (advisor said technically, I haven't been officially "accepted" since I still have to take my drug test + background check). I haven't seen too many posts for the Las Vegas campus - any possibilities that anyone will be attending Chamberlain in January as well? I've heard it's been a bit competitive for this campus.

Also, my admissions process has been all over the place, but I wanted to see if the experience was the same for anyone else, or of it was just my admissions advisor?

How did your pre enrollment call go?! Did they tell you what classes you're taking in the first session? :)

It went well! I'm taking Math114N and NR103 the first session. The second session I'm taking NR 222 and PHIL347N. What classes are you taking?

Ooo! I'm taking BIO 251, MATH 114N, and NR 103 in the first session, and BIO 251 and ETHC 445N in the second.

Unfortunately, A&P 1 from my cal state didn't transfer over, so I'll have to take A&P again :( When is your expected graduation date?

That's weird that A&P didn't transfer over! Maybe we will have some classes together! They didn't give me an exact date but I think it's after first semester 2021. They said 2 years and 8 weeks. What about you?

I know - when I first applied, I was told it would transfer but in the end, it didn't. I was a little irritated since it pushed me back another semester, but I guess it'll be a good refresher for me! I took A&P 1 at a CSU, but did not take A&P 2 as a speech path major. We were required to take A&P of Speech rather than A&P 2. The registrar said in order for my A&P to transfer, I have to had taken A&P 1 + A&P 2 since the integumentary system wasn't included :grumpy: My expected graduation date was set for after the first semester of 2021, but I believe after the 2nd semester of 2021, I'll be graduating.

Hi Everyone!

I, too, was denied from Chamberlain Sacramento and was deemed Academically Eligible for Las Vegas's May 2019 start date! I am so happy to hear that other Californians will be going to this program too. My partner and I have been figuring out what to do since he works at two hospitals here. He cannot move with me, and we are committed to make this work.

I'd love to meet some of you some day! Keep in touch.

Hi all!

Just moved to Vegas from the Bay Area last May. I am hoping to apply for either the May or September 2019 start date. Just curious... for those that started already. How is it going so far? Anyone else applying may or sept 2019?

Going great so far! The staff has been really supportive. They're a little but unorganized with the admissions staff (in my personal experience), but professors and upperclassmen are willing to help out. I have never felt so much support from professors! (SO FAR)

Hey everyone was thinking about applying for this program can anyone tell me what hours you have class? Is it a typical m-f 8-330 daytime program? Do they offer an evening program?

Hi! I have been attending the Las Vegas campus since September 2018. I start patho and health assessment 1 this May 2019. I really love this campus. I am originally from Sac and got denied from that campus so I came here and got accepted. I had a 3.2 GPA, but got a 95 on my HESI. I also have an associate's degree and have been a medical assistant for 7 years. I think this gave me an edge over my lower GPA.
