Is this school accredited? I was looking up nursing schools in North Carolina and came across this one It seems to good ro be true since there are no pre reqs required or waiting list. Has any of you gone here?

Hi,

I am currently in the MSN-FNP Program at Chamberlain. I wanted to ask you questions about doubling up courses. I know that once I get to clinicals I will not be able to work full-time and take these classes. I have doubled up to this point and was curious if you could give me some advice on which classes I should double up on? I have patho, pharm, and health assessment left. I plan to take one of these classes alone and the other two together. I am aware it will be A LOT of work, but just curious out of those three what would be the best two to group together.

Thanks,

Amber

This is the link found right on their home page listing their regional and national accreditation.

I currently go to the Arlington Campus. Yes, it is fully accredited. Yes, you can get a job after you graduate. Yes,they are owned by Devry, but are totally separate from their legal issues. I have never felt that the nursing classes are sub par. They are very hard, and they are taught by nurses and doctors with years of experience. It is very fast paced with each session being 8 weeks long. It is very expensive as well, but they do offer financial aid and some schools have scholarships you can apply for. I use my GI bill and all my expenses are paid for. Call the campus you are interested in and ask which schools they accept transfer credits from. All of my pre-reqs were transferred over no problem except my child psych. After you find that out. GO to the community college first and finish out your pre-reqs there. You will save thousands of dollars!!!! While they say there is no waiting list, you do have to go through the admission process by taking a entrance exam called the HESI A2. You then interview with an admissions counselor. The thing is that they do take people who have less than stellar GPA's. Most of those students don't make it past the first year. Every class no matter where they go to school are going to have students who just aren't going to put in the work. Chamberlain is no different and that reflects on the students more than the professors. I have had some amazing professors in Arlington, and some I wish I could forget. If there is a cheaper route for you, go for it, but I wouldn't flat out dissuade you from going to Chamberlain.
