Chamberlain College of Nursing

Nursing Students Online Learning

Has anyone done the online RN to BSN through the Chamberlain College of Nursing? The program sounds really great, but I just wanted to get the opinion of someone who's tried it thanks!

Yes, they are private. I was never able to get even a cent of help. I had to take out a loan. 5 years later I have paid off $200 in principle. The rest of my monthly payments have been towards intrest. At this rate I will have it paid off in 30+ years.

There are schools that are less expensive with a good/great reputation for education, that are ORGANIZED and will cause you less stress.

Best of luck to you.

While I agree that other schools are definitely less expensive, I have had no problems with organization. What you do get from Chamberlain is a faster way to a BSN degree. You can complete the degree in one year or less. Or take as long as you need. It depends on what credits you come in with. I started in July 2009 and will be finished in December 2010. I will have spent approx. 20K, which is about equal to what I would pay at a traditional private college campus in my city. The only way I would get a cheaper education is to go to a state or city school and I was not willing to wait two to three years for a degree.

The choice is yours. I have had a wonderful experience at Chamberlain.

Good Luck!

I agree. I had no problems and finished within 11 months and even took 8 weeks longer to finish than I should have. I felt they were organized, bent over backwards to assist me and now I'm 7 weeks into a MSN-FNP program that they went out of their way to help me get into! I think they are the best and it was by far the best $20k I have spent so far career wise. I went from an ADN-RN to having a BSN and then started a MSN-FNP program all within 13 months of my start date in their program, you can't beat that in my book.

I'll be done with my ADN/RN program in two years and I know I still have some time but I really do want to go in straight for my BSN without taking time off. I've heard about Chamberlain and so far I've only heard good things. Please keep us newbies posted and thank you all for your info :)
