Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta, GA

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

@ Akilah530. Thanks. I have an appointment on Thursday to do all the pre-enrollment things and I'm not really sure what's next.

Specializes in Not Sure.

I visited their school this past Summer. I was very interested as well. Their program and accredidation is legit but I noticed they break the biology A&P and Micro bio into 4 different classes. As desperate as I am to become a Nurse I didn't want to be put in a position where my Financial Aid could run out and I was forced to sit out. I decided to finish up my Bio/Micro Bio at GTC this Spring and any other core classes they offer. I will take another look at them later in 2013 when I'm ready tp apply to Nursing Programs. They are still a plan C,D,E,F or G.

You will def be better off doing pre-reqs elsewhere $$$ wise but I love the 8wk classes! That's one of the reasons they break anatomy up into 4 classes rather than 2 because there is sooooo much content.

I was able to get a few scholarships from fast web and my job. Still have to pay out of pocket. I have another degree also.

Dead Teah8177,

If you don't mind me asking how much are you paying out of pocket? You can give me a ball park estimate. No need to be exact.

A little over 6,000. It's not all that bad.

That's pretty awesome. Are you currently working in the medical field? Finding an employer that would finance some of your school seems like trying to search for gold in your own backyard. ;(

Yes it is. I will take anything for some extra $$$.

that's one thing i am nervous about! even if you have classes transferred over from another school, the cost still seems to be outrageous. idk what I am going to do. i've been studying to pass this hesi, i take it next Monday. on top of studying for finals. my gpa isn't all that awesome so finding a scholarship is going to kill me.

A lil over 6,000 total out of pocket for the whole program? Are you doing a second degree BSN?
