Chamberlain clinical nursing transfer?

Published

Does anyone know which clinical classes chamberlain school of nursing will accept? I have been dismissed from my current program for not passing med math and am trying to avoid starting all over again. I had just 2 semesters left. I spoke to a rep who said they accept transfer credits.. but im not sure which. I know its difficult to get clinical credits to transfer, so are there any other schools I should look into for the rn ?

Transfer credits generally only refer to prerequisites. However, the school is the only one who can answer your question.

In general, nursing classes will not transfer because while the BON sets what must be covered in curriculum, the school may meet that as it pleases. Med surg 1 at school A isn't going to be identical to Med surg 2 at school B. As a nursing student, you must meet all requirements as set forth by the state BON to be eligible for NCLEX. That is why you won't see nursing schools accept nursing classes from another school.

Can you appeal with your current program, or was that not your first time failing?

You are going to encounter med math in any school, and likely when you are working as a nurse. Have you identified a way to master the topic?
