Chamberlain - Atlanta

Hi nurses! I wanted to know if anyone can give me some feedback on chamberlain college in Atlanta. I am relocating there next year and I am currently taking some prereqs , so I am interested in just knowing how hard it is to get in and etc. I am currently an LPN, so decided might as well just go straight for my RN.

I applied two weeks ago. Still waiting to hear back. It doesn’t seem that hard to get in from what I’ve read on the website. You need a 73 on the HESI & a minimum 2.75 GPA. I have a friend who graduated from there in 2017. She loved it! 1 of my other friends is a current student & she loves it as well. I’m hoping to get accepted soon so I can start in August or September

Oh okay. Great !! I hope you get in. Did you do all of your prerequisite? Are you going into their RN program or NP program? Wait they only have RN program correct?

Thanks! Hope you get in too. Yea I’ve taken all of my pre-reqs. What I like about Chamberlain is that once you’re admitted you can take pre-reqs and then start taking your nursing classes. I know they have the traditional BSN & an RN-BSN program.

I know that they are waiving the HESI exam for this new semester beginning in August. I’m currently at South College (Ultrasound) program and am thinking of switching over to nursing, but don’t think South’s nursing program is very good (yet). At least Chamberlain has been successful, although expensive. I still think it’s worth it.

Yes I will not be starting this year unfortunately, I am trying to take pre-reqs, and then just get them transfer over so it is not so expensive for me, once I go for my BSN. And I can solely focus on nursing courses.

Thats smart. Im saving $$$$ by transferring all core classes.

So today I found out I got accepted! I’ll be starting in fall. At the end of this month I believe. Did anyone else apply to start this fall?

What are the pre reqs for the BSN?

I know this thread is old but hello everyone! If anyone would please give me some information on the process of getting accepted into chamberlain. My high school GPA was so low at 1.7 but my current college GPA is 3.5 and took 15 credit hours. I’m going to take the HESI soon but can anyone share their GPA and HESI scores to get accepted? Thank you.
