OK great. I was in an ADN program and took Fundamentals, Psyc, Maternity , Pediatrics ,Medsurg I and II. I didn’t have a specific semester on Gerontology. Will that be an issue ?

That will not be an issue. Your Med-surg classes should have covered gerontology. Also, they will ask for each course description which will confirm what topics were covered within each specific courses.

I’m very happy about that . Last questions  (and I appreciate all the information you have provided ). How long did the process take from the time you applied to the time you were approved to take the exam?  Obviously it had to be taken in Florida , correct ?

My situation was a bit unique seeing that I had a balance with my institution and was unable to send my transcript to the board once I had begun the process. However, once they received my transcript and course description; I was approved within 2-3 weeks to sit for the NCLEX-PN, which I took in Maryland (you do NOT have to take it in FL; you can sit for the exam in any state; however you will ONLY be able to practice in FL. I’m not sure of the endorsement policy and procedures from state to state).

Time to get this process started . I don’t mind being only  licensed to practice in Florida . I’ll keep you posted ! Are you practicing nursing at the moment ?

Recommendations please, starting LPN Program:

1 what kind of stethoscope?

2. Compression socks brands?

3. shoes?

4. planner?

5.penlight?

6. markers?

And any other suggestions anyone can give are welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Hi which states can I challenge the PN-NCLEX? I'm currently enrolled in a RN BSN program. But needing to become an Lpn asap.

Hi I completed 2 years (4 semesters) towards my BSN. I am interested in challenging the PN-NCLEX. Has anyone done so and if so, do you have any tips on how I could get started. Thanks!

Does anyone know of any schools that offer LVN to BSN programs?

Also, do all schools require certain prerequisites for example A&P I / II and Microbiology to be within a 5 -7 year window?
