OK, I can't be the only one with this problem. My scrubs are chafing my legs. I do not have this problem with any other type of clothes, only scrubs. I am not skinny so my thighs do touch it can get so bad that by the end of a 12 hour shift i don't wanna walk.

So what have others done for this?

Maybe the crotch of my pants are too low and I need smaller scrubs so the crotch is higher? I odn't know someone else has to have a solution.

thanx

you are not the only one. i started noticing it recently too!

although, mine isn't really between by thighs, well maybe my lower thighs, it's kinda right around my knees, or a little higher. i know my scrub pants are too long for me and i'm always hiking them up but i'm not sure if that's the problem. if you do a search i find about 2 other topics where people discuss the chafing. i think it's mainly the material. i would love some nice pure cotton scrubs and not these damn poly/cotton blends! i just put some lotion(normal dry skin lotion) on when i get home and it'll sting for a couple minutes but then it feels better. it is annoying though! :angryfire

One thing you can try to alleviate the chafing is to wear spandex bicycle shorts underneath your scrub bottoms. Skin rubbing on skin is very uncomfortable, and in my experience, powders don't really help after the first twenty minutes or so. Keeping the bottoms pulled up helps to so that you avoid the skin on skin friction. The bicycle short trick works like a charm.

The bike shorts might work, but it is not really a skin on skin thing, but more where the seems meet and has that big peice of ruff material.

I might try the bike shorts maybe then the material won't be so ruff against my skin.

any other suggestions?

Just to add while we are talking it kinda reminds me of saddle sores. thought I might add that

I know exactly what you mean, hospital scrub crotches hang down too far and the legs still don't reach my ankles, so I buy my own. One style still rubs though. I use the bike shorts, and it works really well. Alternative is the longer boxer type lingerie (stepins), more silky than tight like the spandex.

Scrubs are cut for giant men, apparently. I wear an 8 and have a size S in my school uniform scrubs and I'm swimming. The crotch at midthigh is probably the culprit. I find that wearing tights under my scrub pants helps. Don't know what I'm going to do come summer, but this works for now.
