Chaffey college spring 2017

Published

Hello!

Im just curious to see if anyone here is going to apply to the Chaffey ADN program this September for the upcoming Spring 2017 semester?

i did the math 401 just for this program and it was on my transcript both times and they still rejected me both times. all my stats were good too so idk why i didn't get in, must be lottery

I got my rejection letter on Saturday. Sam your right, must be a lottery. I didn't have Math 401 either. Good Luck Sharae8311 Hope you get accepted into APU! positive vibes and prayers going your way!

Yes, Chaffey College is lottery based. I've spoke to a student who just graduated last semester there and she told me she got a 70% ish on her teas and 2 Bs and a C on her bio prerequisites. She was lucky enough to get selected into the program in her first try!

I got a call this morning and I'm in!!!

Congrats!!! I ended up getting accepted to Azusa Pacific. Good luck on your journey.

Congratulations! I got accepted into mt sac so that's where I'm going í ½í¸†

Did you ever end up getting a rejection letter?

Yay! congrats!!! I'm at Rio Hondo! We will all be nurses!! Yay! how exciting!

Hi Sharae ,

Congratulations on being accepted into APU. I plan on applying there as well. How competitive was it to get in? I currently have a 3.6 overall GPA and a 3.7 Science GPA. Any tips on applying?

I think you will be fine as far as your GPA. My cum GPA was not as high as yours and my science GPA was 3.53. I had really good letters of recommendations and I had 3 even though they only asked for 2. Get all your paperwork in early so you can get an interview. If you get an interview (don't worry if you don't. Not everyone gets one), be ready to write an essay. They want a writing sample. I wore a full business suit, white button up dress shirt, and heels. I also studied questions online and practiced my answers. I don't know if all these things were needed, but it's what I did. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your quick response. Did you need a letter of recommendation from a pastor? Were all your prereqs complete when you applied? sorry for all of the questions I am just confused as to how soon I should apply.

No I didn't have any letters from a pastor. Mine were from professors and a librarian I volunteer for. All my pre reqs were done when I applied, but I do have a friend that applied and ended up needing one more class. She took the class and just submitted new official transcripts for the next semester. Your application is good for 2 years I think.
