CGFNS offers a multitude of programs. Examples of a few:
CGFNS Certificate program is the one that contains the CGFNS exam, as well as the basic English exam, such as TOEFL, IELTS or TOEIC.
CES is the Credentiasl Eval that many states wish to see before they will even look at your application for licensure. It is also needed by many schools here if you wish to continue on with your schooling.
CVS is a specific evaluation only for NY, it cannot be used by any other state and NY will not use the CES either.
VSC, or the Visa Screen Certificate, is not used by states, but by the US government for immigration purposes. It is actually required by all that are going to be applying for a visa on their own thru an employer and is required for any type of visa, including the treaty visas, and everything else. In oder to get the VSC, one must pass the NCLEX or CGFNS exam and the English exams if they are not waived for you.
Hope that this helps clear up any issues.
Please anyone help me with my concerns. Im in the process of filling for a visascreen. Im cali nclex passer w/o SSN.
1. where can i download the request for license verification form to be sent to Cali-Bon? Is it the the form that can be found in the cali-BON website or the form from the visascreen handbook?
2. What other requirements should i include aside from the form and the bankdraft of $60?
3. After I accomplished the form for verification, Can i request cali-BON to send the license verification directly to cgfns or will I wait for cali-BON to send back the accomplished form & personally send it to cgfns?
4. Or is it Cali-BOn will automatically send the accomplished form to cgfns even if i dont request them to send it to cgfns?
Thank you for the help.

Greetings!
Im a big fan of this forum and this is my first post!
A friend of mine just informed me that if we would like to apply for a visa screen for california, we would need a CGFNS visa screen certificate. I previously thought that a passing grade for the NCLEX exam and the IELTS or TOEFL would be enough. Would anyone care to enlighten me on this matter please? Thanks in advance!
