Hi!
I am a registered nurse that has moved to the USA, for the past year I have been going through the process of transcribing my degree with CGFNS. I can honestly say it is some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life, and judging by other comments on here I'm not the only one who has had this problem!
I do not get responses to emails, I cannot get through on the phone, my husband has even resorted to Twitter in an attempt to contact them...obviously no reply. I am at my wits end!! I have paid them a lot of money to transcribe my degree and after a year they cancelled my application due to inactivity!!! I was waiting on them to acknowledge a letter for 5 months!!!! My university had mailed my transcript at the beginning of September, it is now January and after numerous emails no one can tell me if they received the transcript or not! With personal information on the transcript I do not wish it to fall into the wrong hands and I just want to know where it is, but cannot get an answer?!
I have a job lined up in the ER, and CGFNS repeatedly post on Twitter how the shortage of nurses in the USA is at a critical level. I WANT TO WORK, IM QUALIFIED TO WORK, WHY ARE CGFNS STOPPING ME FROM DOING SO??
If anyone can help me to contact CGFNS or point me to another company that can transcribe my degree I'd be very grateful! ANY HELP PLEEEEEASE??!!?!?

Depends if the state accepts another company's evaluation
I've just contacted the South Carolina board of nursing, they only accept CGFNS! Nightmare!
Has as anyone got any advice on how to get in contact with them? No matter what time of day I try, 9am, 11am, 3pm, I cannot get through in the phone! They wont reply to my emails. They have an online virtual consultation option but the next available time is February 12th, it's a joke!

I always get through within five minutes if I call at their opening time (9:30 eastern). However, the people aren't very helpful 80% of the time.
You may be able to get them to extend your application if you ask. Don't do what I did and pay for another year without asking first. This has created a huge mess for us.
Did you use the old form or the new one? I think the new one is from May 2017. Hopefully you did.
CGFNS is the most ridiculous, unethical company I've ever come in contact with. It's not right that government agencies give this private company so much power. It seems pretty clear that they will do anything to get more money from vulnerable immigrants. They are not here to help.
Speaking of which, pay for the"virtual consultation". I did and it was slightly more useful than a regular phone call. However, even my basic follow up questions directly to that staff member by phone and email have gone unanswered, as have my general "contact wizard" emails. I used to get fairly prompt answers that way. The date for virtual consultation may sound far away, but you're not getting anywhere anyway.
Does Upwardly Global or a similar group operate in your area? They may be able to help you. Others seem to have gotten results after complaining to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Pennsylvania.
