CGFNS help

Hi everyone! I'm just up to my head right now with this licensing thing through endorsement. I currently hold a NJ license and around June, I decided to get my NY license as well so I completed all the documents needed for NY BON and the CVS application form for CGFNS.

Now here comes the problem. I called NY BON regarding the status of my application and they said that they have not received anything from CGFNS. I checked my online CGFNS status and I saw that they have not received any of my transcripts from my college back home. I then called my college to ask them why they have not sent my papers. What surprised me was that they said they have not received anything from CGFNS (letter and a cheque). So I called CGFNS regarding this matter and they said that I have to wait 3 months until I can call them up again and that's when they can do something about it (which is November--- why not now? If it's obvious that the letter is missing!)

What made me angry is that the customer service person was so nasty! She told me that I should not be involved in the process because they want to make sure that the college I went to was real and not some made up school (which I understand but she could have said it nicer). I told the representative that if she looked at my records, I have had a CES application done and that proves that my nursing college is real.

I've been doing a google search in the hopes that I could find the CGFNS customer service manager's direct phone line or email. So if anyone here could help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I'm begging you.:p

Thank you for any help seriously!!:p

CVS from CGFNS takes approx 6-8 months as CGFNS wait 6 months for documents to be returned before they forward anything to NY BON. When did you start your application with them?

Regarding CGFNS operatives, there are some good and some bad and have been for several years, I doubt even if you complain anything will be done

Oh boy! I've dealt with them before myself. Sorry to hear that your experience hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. I'm not sure I understand the issue though. If you already live and work in the US, shouldn't you have a Visa Screen authorizing you to work here? If you change states for licensing, the CGFNS has nothing to do with it. Further, I know there are several forms you can print yourself from their website.

I hope this helps! And I would keep calling until I got the answers I needed. This is your career we're talking about.

My understanding is they have a US state license but nothing in their post indicates they already have a work/immigrant visa. Also even if already working in the US when moving state you still have to meet state requirements and New York requires CVS regardless where you are if you trained outside the US
