CGFNS for FEN New Jersey

Hi! I'm a foreign educated and a registered nurse in Philippines. I, together with my family, recently migrated to New Jersey. Now, as I am about to start Credentials Evaluation by CGFNS. Something got me confused which I will be stating below:

1. I read from CGFNS that I can be exempted from taking English Language Proficiency Exam because my textbooks were all in english as well as the language it was taught in school.

2. I read some articles that were pretty much the same as my current situation. Some says I still needed to take an exam while others says I'm exempted.

Can someone shed some light regarding this topic, Not that I'm trying to avoid it but I am more of trying to save some time and money.

Before I even start the CES via CGFNS it would be great to know the answer on my question.

You wouldn't want to spend time and money on something that isn't needed right? ������

Usually CGFNS will make the decision based on information provided on your transcripts

Hello! I'm an RN from Pinas too currently residing in Rutherford NJ. Did you take english exam for the CGFNS or exempted ? I have same dilemma as you. Thank you! :)

As of now my CGFNS is on the process of review, therefore, I cannot contest anything as of the moment.

I am a foreign nurse,i have applied for evaluation of my transcript via cgfns about a year ago.cgfns said my schhol refused to send my transcripts.When i call my school they said they did not receive frm cgfns what can i do.

Unless you are applying for NY it is your responsibility to arrange with your school to send transcripts to CGFNS
