CGFNS- efficient service?

Hi everyone
I mailed my forms for NY CES and Visa screen at the end of Jan.
I received my welcome letters mid Feb.
End Feb I receive a letter telling me that they could not take payment from my credit card company. My credit card company said CGFNS had not provided my correct post code via the electronic payment system.
After 3 phone calls to CGFNS and attempts to speak to the accounts department, attempting to make payment on line I eventually made payment using a debit card. So we were then at the beginning of March.
My on line status said they had mailed the forms to my school and NMC to verify training and license. I received an innactivity letter.
I contacted the CGFNS 1 week ago as we seemed to be in limbo.
They inform me that in fact it looks like the forms were not mailed.
I ahve found the staff on the helpline quite the opposite of helpful and abreupt at times. I am astounded that I am now almost 4 months into the process and no further forward, especially considering they charge a considerable sum for their services.
Anyone else had similar experiences?
I am at a loss regarding best way forward as I now have very little faith in them.
