Hello, recent RN grad in Canada looking to work in the US.
My CES application is under review with CGFNS. This can take up to 6 months from what I've been told. Should I go ahead and send in the Visa Screen application while I wait to hear about the credentials review? Or do I have to have an answer before doing the Visa Screen?
How long does it approximately take to get a response on the Visa Screen and do you think it's worth it to pay the $500 for the Expedited Review Service (5 days response).
Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't usually see CES report taking that long, usually couple of months. You could start the VSC process but I wouldn't worry about paying extra as one of the requirements is a pass in NCLEX and they will use the same documents as per CES report so doesn't usually take long to issue
Hi,
My application was received on May 16th (2 months ago). It says they are still waiting for the Transcript Validation Form to be received. I think that means they are waiting on my University to validate my transcripts are legit?
Anyway, maybe I should take the NCLEX now if I'm ready? Then do the VSC after passing that and hearing back about the CES. I am just anxious to get my career rolling in the US and would prefer to not have any unnecessary delays along the way. I do realize that a job offer might not come instantly, but, I want to be prepared as if it will.
State will not give ok to sit NCLEX without file complete and CES report received and reviewed
