certificaiton exam

Hi all,

This is going to be the year that I plan to take the certification exam. I was trying to find a copy of the study book from the NASN website and it seems they don't sell it anymore. For all who took the exam recently, what was the most helpful resources you used to study? Where did you get them from? What did you think of the exam?

Any help would be appreciated!

I mostly relied on the book, School Nursing Certification Review by Janice Selekman & Linda Wolfe.

I LEARNED THIS BOOK COVER TO COVER. I took it 1 chapter at the time.......I would read 1 chapter then go back over that chapter making note cards. I had the book, School Nursing: A Comprehensive Text by Janice Selekman. But this book was so in depth that I found Selekman's review book to be more helpful as it goes over the key points without getting too bogged down with details. Also I took every free test I could find online. I also went through Amazon and placed a digital order for......

School Nursing - CSN Certification Review (School Nursing Certification Series Book 1)[Kindle Edition]

By: Charity Woodfield, Robert James, Joan Martin, Tina Nguyen

Sold By: Amazon Digital Services LLC

I had to download the kindle app. This purchase gave me 500 questions for $9.95.

I just didn't want to spend the $75 for the practice exam from NBCSN. I noticed on nbcsn.org just a few days ago that The National Association of School Nurses (NASN) has opened a discussion list for school nurses considering or taking the National Certification for School Nurses exam.” (Exciting News for Candidates)

Best of luck to you!

I sent you a comment but it is being reviewed by Moderators before it is posted. Sorry! That might have happened because I copy/pasted some info.
