Hey guys..was wondering if anyone is currently working at Central Prison? I am interested in the new health center. RN with 14 years experience, but no correctional experience.

I was noticing that they will be opening a new facility. I've never done correctional nursing either. Only peds. What is it like there? I don't know if it would be for me or not. Thanks!

Hi, bonesrn, sorry I'm not helping with your post, but you replied to my one post regarding UNC hospital, and said I could email you or PM you, but I couldn't figure out how to do that since I just really started using this site. My email is [email protected]. I would love if you could give me some more info on the UNC area, as we are thinking of relocating there from PA, but have never visited. Hoping to get down there in Feb. weather permitting. It just seems that there is a lot more opportunities for my husband and I down there. We have 2 kids ages 10 and 13 and would want somewhere that is a nice quiet neighborhood to raise them in with little crime and good schools. So anything you can tell me I would be very appreciative. I have mainly peds and L&D experience in a large teaching hospital, and am looking to go back for either my Masters or DNP. Thanks again!
