Center for Allied Health in Hackensack

U.S.A. New York

Published

I'm considering attending this LPN program. I would be attending the evening classes, 6pm-1030 pm Mon-Thurs. It is in Hackensack, NJ but the director informed me that there are a lot (70%) of students that commute from NY that attend the program. Is anyone else interested in this school or has attended? Just want some opinions.

Thanks in advance! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hi Wildcatrotc, I started the program and it's going well for me, the only thing is the commute is a killer.

But the time seems to go face.

Is there school all day in the other trimesters? I hope not.

Good Luck!

MsAmbitious2336,

Good luck to you too!

If don't get to respond to you. I want you to know:

At somepoint you are going to get really discouraged...

Just remember what motivated you to become a Nurse.

Then wait and see the people who line up and take the exit exam and pass. All those people been through much of what you are doing now. If they can get it, so can you. :)

Hi Honeybunny19, first off let me congratulate you for getting accepted, now the most important thing you must know is to study, don't fall behind. The first trimester is not that bad, especially if you have a foundation in biologly. But the second trimester is a tough one, just study, ask questions when you don't understand and stay on top of the medications. Make sure you know them for clinical. You be fine if stay on top of your work.

Good Luck

Hi I know I'm late to this forum. I was wondering how was the entrance exam? Was it hard? What study guides can I get to help study? Also do they offer open enrollment or is there a set schedule on when classes start? Do they take financial aid or do I have to take out a loan? I have lots of questions cause I'm so interested in becoming a LPN and I'm don't want to wait till next year ti start school. Help please. I was even going to start a CNA program just to get my feet wet and get in as a nurse some how. Thanks I advance fir Amy info you can provide.

The test wasn't hard at all. Basic Math and basic English. The Math includes Decimals, Fractions, Household measurements, General Math, and Algebra. The English has Meaning-Word use, Conclusions, Implications and Understanding of sentence structure. I just passed the exam and used books I found in Barnes and Nobles to pass, but the school offers a study guide which I'm sure will prepare you. Currently, they are enrolling for day classes that start on 10/25/10.

They do take financial aid and they're very helpful and showing what your options might be. I suggest calling them and setting up a test day or even calling for additional information.

Hi I'm taking the entrance exam for this school soon can someone please tell me exactly what's on the exam? Specifics please!!!!!
