Could any of you please recommend a book/source that is mainly CEN practice test questions? I found when I studied for NCLEX that reading out of the book did me absolutely no good, but doing repeated practice tests and then reviewing what I missed or had questions/hesitations about afterward was really beneficial for me and I'd like to do the same for the CEN. I really liked Saunders when studying for NCLEX-I just did hundreds of practice questions. Any ideas? TIA!

I was the same way. I studied for the NCLEX using the CD w/ the practice questions. I like instant gratification. Question. Answer. Not having to look in the back of the book. Or doing a whole test and then reviewing answers afterwards. So I studied for the CEN by purchasing the online review questions/tests on the ENA website. I think it cost me around $60. Only I failed the CEN by one or two questions because was surprised to see so many questions on triaging mass casualties (which was not in any of the questions I studied from!). That and ABG analysis. I broke down and purchased a CEN review book... includes access to online questions/tests. Hopefully that does the trick...

I bought the ENA 4th edition with 5 practice tests with answers and rationales. It also comes with two 175 question practice tests. I also bought a practice test with 150 questions from the CEN website. Further, if you go to you tube you can find Mark Boswells review test lectures for each individual subject. I just took it today and passed. Hard test but doable if you put in the time.

I did the exact same thing and passed it on June 21, 2012. I think this is a really good plan. I don't think that just answer tons of questions is going to help unless you are really familiar with the core concepts. The youtube stuff really covered that well. I did find that the questions that I bought from the BCEN's web site was a really good gage of how well someone will do on the actual exam. I pretty much got the same grade on both. I really felt the exam was a real test of critical thinking skills, that's why I think (even though there is not actual experience requirement) a min of 2-5 years experience, becuase alot of what critical thinking is based on is aquired knowledge and experience.

are the practice questions in the ENA 4th edition manual the same as the 150 questions from the CEN website?
