Cedars-Sinai Spring 2023 cohort

Updated:   Published

Hi

I received an email for an interview. I'm so nervous about it. Anyone from the past cohort has any tips for the interview? Thanks

Has anyone gotten there orientation schedule yet?

Not yet. I think they told me May 15 they will send all the emails regarding the first day.

Thanks for the info! They never gave me a date. Just that I'd receive more information as the start date got closer

For the people that interviewed for the Acuity Adaptable Unit, would you kindly share what type of questions they asked? It doesn't have to be exact, just wondering. Thank you!

Thank you! Acuity Adaptable unit aka medsurg!

hi @hopefulSLOTJ !

this is a long shot since this forum hasn't been active in a while, but I'm not able to send a private message unfortunately. I have an interview coming up for an acuity adaptable unit (5S) and was wondering if you have any tips for the interview and how you like your unit so far!

hi! I'm no longer on the unit but can definitely say all coworkers were extremely friendly and approachable. always available to help or to show me how to do something/skill. The interview with the unit was really nice and calming. it was more conversational and what you like to do. there was one clinical question about what would you do or expect labs to be ordered with a HF patient that was experiencing SOB. good luck!!

Hi @hopefulSLOTJ! I apologize for hopping onto this, but I was wondering if you were still in the program or just not on the unit?

I know this is a long shot since the forum is a little older but can anyone confirm you get a pay raise at the 9 month mark/end of the new grad program? How much was it? Thanks in advance!

I also interviewed Thursday! I applied for postpartum. I was thinking of emailing Aramik to see if there's been any delays. My application status still says interviews so maybe they're still going through all the apps  :,)

Hi! I have an upcoming interview and saw you also interviewed with PP. I was wondering if you have any advice to best prep or any insight as to what types of questions they ask? Any help is greatly appreciated :')

So, when I did the interview, they said it's essentially a mix of med surg, tele and PCU patients. I intentionally asked how they would describe it acuity wise. It honestly sounds more like a med surg floor for the most part. Maximum nurse to patient ratio is 5:1 which aligns with med surg, and minimum is 3:1 if you have PCU patients. Other than that, it was pretty vague

hello I have an interview for this unit. do you have any tips and tricks? what kind of questions do they ask more behavioral or clinical as well?
