Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad 2011

Published

Just wanted to know if anyone here got an e-mail invitation on Cedars-Sinai RN New Grad Program. I had my phone interview with them on December 29th. I received my e-mail today inviting me to the hiring event Open House for the Program on January 19th. I'm soooo nervous. It's been almost a year since I graduated and I finally got my first in-person interview! It's been so hard on all of us graduates! Let's hope for the best! :D

I have to say now that I know they are sending the emails I am checking every 5mins... I hate this.

Haha, same here. I've never been so scared to check my emails! It used to be that I couldn't wait to receive an email. This waiting game is not fun :sniff:

I want to thank those who did get the email for letting us know that they started sending them... I appreciate it and wish you the best.

dienne - where do you work telemetry in san diego? I'm interested in a job in that area but don't know anywhere hiring new grads. I just applied to Scripps telemetry.

I work at Alvarado Hospital, not the best hospital in San Diego but at least they're willing to give new grads a chance. There are a few of us.

They don't really have a new grad program but I have 8 weeks orientation and I'm also required to take several new grads classes.

Of course it's not Cedars, but the floor is super busy and it seems a good learning experience......

Wow that's awesome! Congratulations. I would take a job there any day. How did you get hired there/where/what position did you apply for? I want to apply! Do you know if they're still hiring?

I just apply online to a RN telemtry position. In their post they said 1 year experience preferred so I applied anyway. I got called in for an interview and received a job offer a week later, this was the end of May.

I just started last week, as I said they hired a mix of new grads and experienced nurses.

Just go to their website and see if they have any openings......I have been told they are hiring a lot because they changed ownership a few months ago and some nurses weren't happy and left......

If they have openings go ahead and apply even if it says one year experience required!!!!

Good luck.

Cedars is not the only option, even if for some of us it was our 1rst choice. I just got an offer on the spot right ofter my panel interview for another hospital for their versant program starting July 25th. The only thing is the 2hrs commute I will have to do each way on a daily basis. I think LA is too crowded, those who are willing to relocate will have more chances. Good luck to everyone.

Well Good Luck with your new job and I hope everything goes well for you!!! I don't think Cedars is the end all be all but considering the amount of people they were hiring and their facilities it's hard not to get a little excited. Again Good Luck and Congrats.
