Cedars Sinai New Grad Summer 2020

Nurses New Nurse

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone!

This is a thread for those who got an application in for the Summer 2020 Cohort (Apply in early June, Interview event in July, License needed before July 8, 2020). It looks like the application is already closed. Does anybody have an idea of when it opened? I just so happened to find it and applied on June 2.

My status is "application under consideration" - June 2.

Good luck!

I've received nothing.

Same, nada.. wish I didn’t have work today so I can call and ask.

It sounds like those who interviewed for the OR didn’t get the reference email at least from reading these post so far.

I also had an interview for OR and haven’t received an email yet.

if you got an interview with OR and received the email please let me know and keep me posted. Thank you.

Interviewed for the OR and didn't receive anything either. Did anyone hear when they will let us know who they selected?

They told me next week, and they said we’ll hear from HR. I am fingers crossed non of the OR got a reference email bc I didn’t get one either ?

@NurseJayc I heard OR is taking the most New Grads compared to the other units. I just hope we will hear from them sooner because the anxiety of not knowing is making me sad

Do you guys mean the references will be sent out by next week or decisions will be made by next week?

They said decisions. One of my question was what the next steps were and when we would hear back and she said next week from HR, you’ll hear if an offer is being made. So IDK if we’ll get anything if we don’t.. so whoever gets ANY new info (from contacting them or getting emails/calls) please share here, thank youuuu everyone and let’s stay hopeful

@UknownRN based on what I heard from my manager was that HR will let you know sometime next week if you got selected to the New Grad.

I was wondering how long did your interview last for anyone who got interviewed for OR nurse?

Did you pick OR or did the recruiter asked you if you’re okay to switch to OR nurse?

I didn't interview for the OR. My interview was about 30 mins? But it was possibly shorter than that if you minus the questions I asked. It felt really quick.

My interview lasted little less than 30 mins. I think they asked me roughly 5-6? Questions I was at scheduled for 1pm and I think the recruiter said I was the first one? Unless anyone went before me and it was just the first for the afternoon. And I put OR as my first choice and made my whole resume/cover letter to be OR specific.
