Hi everyone! This thread is to help all of us who interviewed on 7/15/14 for the new grad program with the start date of September 2014. Hope all of your interviews went well and good luck to everyone!
Hi I'm graduating the first week in September and would like to know how to apply to the Cedars new grad programs. I've heard you have to be one of the first 200 or so who submit an application online once it's posted, but how do you know when and where to look for the posting? I already submitted my info on the Cedars HR web site but I haven't heard anything. Thank you!
The application for Cedars is posted at a random time and the only way to find out is to look at their website constantly or hear about it from others. I found out because someone posted it on the facebook group for new grads. If you're not already a member of that group I would highly suggest it. Also, you can only apply to Cedars once a year so if you don't think you will have passed the nclex by that time, I would suggest waiting for the next round. As far as I know, the skills survey doesn't ask about clinical skills but rather what kind of employee you are. Hope this helps!
Hi all. I applied for the November residency and just completed my first interview.
1) Could you provide any insight as I wait to hear back from the hospital for a possible 2nd interview? How I could prepare?
2) Could you explain how the 2nd interview was set up?
3) Were you able to request a unit of interest?
4) Have all of you who had a 2nd interview passed the NCLEX already? Do you know how having your license already or not plays in the interview process?
Any response would help me reduce my anxiety.
Thank you!
It took about a week to hear back from the video interview. If you get a second interview you will hear back from HR before the rejections are sent out. Both are by email. The second interview is held in an auditorium and is about 15-30 minutes with one person. You might be sitting right next to someone else who is interviewing. The interviewers all seemed very nice and welcoming, not a bad experience at all. It was about 10 questions, mix of both clinical and behavioral questions.
