CCSF Spring 2019 Admissions

Published

Just wondering if anyone has heard yet from CCSF for Spring 2019? I've read the other posts from the previous year, and supposedly people began getting their letters around this week. I have yet to hear from them. I also tried calling but keep getting the voicemail. Just curious if anyone has received their letters yet. Thank you!

I'm curious too. I haven't received anything in the mail yet, but the website said approximately 8-10 weeks after the deadline so I thought letters would start coming in next week.

I just called again, and was told that letters did go out last Friday!

Oh! Thanks for calling. Hope we get good letters.

I just checked the mail and got the letter asking to submit the first teas score. Mail ships fast!

Nice!!! I got the same letter. I hope we both make it in. Very exciting... :)

Me too, good luck to us both! I'm excited and nervous about where I stand because my GPA and teas aren't very high. Crossing my fingers though.

Hi! I got my letter to submit my TEAS score as well. I'm planning on taking the test in a couple of weeks at CCSF. Have either of you already taken the exam? If so, do you have any study tips? What sources did you use for your studying?

I used the yellow Mometrix book and my anatomy/physiology/microbiology class notes to study. Looking back, I should have focused more on the Reading section instead of skimming it over because I thought I did fine on the actual test but was surprised my score was lower than I expected (I was overconfident in my English skills haha). So I would say read everything thoroughly. For the Science section, the questions seemed random but it still helped to study; some questions were specific and either I knew it or I didn't. There were also a few life science Q's too. Math and English were straightforward. Know proportions (I got a lot of these types of questions) and generally basic algebra. For English, what type of word a word is (noun, predicate, etc.), how to spell. I can't remember much since it's been about 2 months but hopefully this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! Were there any questions that focused on geometry?

You're welcome! Iirc, there was one that asked about the area of a circle.

good luck you guys its an amazing program
