Hello,
I am going to begin studying for my CCRN here within the next few months. I have the AACN book of questions and have several videos to study. Any suggestions on how to study, what to focus on, suggestions for someone taking it with about 1.5 years MICU/SICU experience?
Any suggestions will be helpful! Thanks!

We didn't get a ton of Swans at the job I was working at the time, so I studied CO/CI/SVR/PAWP etc. pretty extensively and just skimmed everything else. If you pay attention to what's going on with your pulmonary patients at work and know your vent settings well, I wouldn't even bother looking over pulmonary. I didn't, and it was one of my strongest categories on the test.
Good luck!
Thanks! The good and bad thing is that I work for a MICU/SICU that gets just about everything. I don't feel extremely confident in anything because it is so varied that I get the basics down and feel comfortable caring for the patients, but pathophys of certain things might be a little rusty. I have a feeling that although I have learned a lot, for an overall test like CCRN I am going to have to study everything.
