CCRN exam

I took my CCRN examination, and unfortunately, my score was an 88. 1 QUESTION away from passing!! Frustrating and discouraging to say the least. Nerves and test anxiety definitely got the best of me.

Does anyone know if there is any type of waiting period you have to meet until you retest? i.e. 60-90 day probation period?

I watched the Laura G. videos and read a Kapan CCRN review book, any other advice from anyone ? Are retest questions similar/some repeat questions?

Thanks!

I had the Laura G. videos almost memorized. I found this only slightly helpful and was glad I used other methods. PASS CCRN was way too much info and hard to filter the pertinent information. I used multiple books, the Laura G. videos, took lots of questions. One thing that helped me was when I would answer the question, I would look at the answers and if the answer was a hemodynamic value, I'd cover the whole answer and figure it out in my head first then see if my answer matched the real one. For example if the answer had a PAOP in it, Id figure out what the PAOP was doing from the question then see if any of the answers matched mine. Also, I drew a diagram of the heart, valves, and what each did during systole and diastole before I ever started the test so I could visually look at the heart and pump (since I am a visual learner). You were so close, study hard and try again.

I wish much luck and prayers. I'm looking into taking the class myself. But, do I need to pay a membership fee with ACN before I sign up for class? Puzzled on how this process begins. How did you start?

You are not required to pay or become a member. It does make sense to do it though. Not only do you get a discount on the test, you get tons of free CEU's to maintain your certification. After you sign up for the test , you'll get a e mail that says your good to go. Then you just call a testing center and schedule. After that just plan what you'll do to celebrate. í ½í¸Š

I agree! Pass CCRN! Is an excellent resource! The pesticide wrests at the end were all I used and I passed on the first try.
