CCRN Certification

I am a pre-nursing student who is interested in working in the ICU and NICU(thinking about becoming a CRNA or NNP). I wanted to work in the NICU 1st before going into the ICU. I eventually wanted to be CCRN certified and saw there are different versions of the test. Is there any difference between the adult and neonatal CCRN in case I wanted to stay in the ICU??

Yes, there is a completely different test for adults and neonates. Most people I work with have their RNC just for their own confidence, because my hospital doesn't pay us more for the certification. Others do, though. You have to work in the NICU for at least two years, full-time (or the hourly equivelant of that over more years if you do part-time) before you are eligible to take the test.
